Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Project Development Grants - 2025

Project Development Grants empower community museums and Aboriginal cultural spaces to carry out strategic and innovative projects with mid to long term outcomes. The grants can also provide an opportunity to work productively with an appropriate consultant as a skill development opportunity.

Previous Project Development Grants have funded strategic and marketing plans, significance assessments, exhibition development, touring exhibitions and public programs.

 

Small Grants - 2025 - Round 2

Small Grants aim to meet the short-term, collection-based requirements of community museums and Aboriginal cultural spaces. There are no set categories for funding, and applications for a broad range of projects will be considered.

Previous Small Grants have funded the purchase of computer cataloguing software, exhibition mannequins and display cases, oral history recording equipment and archival storage items.

 

Strengthening Rural Communities – Prepare & Recover - Round 26

The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) Prepare & Recover program supports communities in remote, rural and regional communities across Australia to implement initiatives that prevent and prepare for future climate related impacts, or recover from existing disasters in the medium to long-term timeframe, generally one to ten years after the disaster.

Projects that focus on strengthening local inclusion, networks, communication, information sharing, self-organising systems, local decision making, resourcing, tools and support will be prioritised.

 

Rural and Remote Community Support Grant

The Rural and Remote Community Support Grant offers funding of up to $50,000 for community-led initiatives designed to enhance healthcare delivery and directly support the recruitment and retention of doctors in communities classified from MM4 to MM7.

This grant supports a wide range of innovative, community-driven activities, prioritising areas of workforce need. They're looking for projects that directly improve local healthcare delivery and support for doctors, particularly those completing ACRRM Fellowship training.  They welcome applications for projects focusing on:

  • Education and training
  • Recruitment and retention initiatives
  • First Nations community support
  • University partnerships and training pathway development
